Bradshaw Animal Shelter in Sacramento County is joining the nationwide initiative, Empty the Shelters, from May 1 to May 15. Sponsored by the Bissell Pet Foundation, this event aims to facilitate the adoption of homeless pets by removing financial barriers for potential pet owners.

Throughout the duration of the event, adoption fees for both dogs and cats will be waived. Those interested in giving a shelter pet a forever home can visit Bradshaw Animal Shelter located at 3839 Bradshaw Rd, Sacramento, CA 95827. The shelter operates from noon to 5:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday, with extended hours until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Adopters can expect their new furry companions to come with spay or neuter surgery already performed, up-to-date vaccinations, lifetime microchip registration, and for county residents, one-year licensing is included as well.
